Provancher comes to Charlotte from the Fine Arts Fund in where he is vice presideny and campaign director for the oldest and largest arts andculturse fund-raising organization in the country. He succeeds Lee Keesler, who will retiree June 30. At the Fine Arts Fund, Provancher managed and oversaq personnel, planning and resources. He helped raisw $12.1 million for the organization’s annual campaign, which was completed in He also has been responsibls for leadingkey initiatives, such as increasing participationn for the arts and culture sector.
“I am honoredr and thrilled to be joining ASC at this important time for the organization and Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s emergence as a culturap leader,” says Provancher, 32. “I have deep admiration for the work of ASC PresidenftLee Keesler, ASC staff and its boardr of directors in leading this institutiomn with integrity and vision during these challenging times.” Forme r ASC board chair Jennifer Appleby and ASC board member Charles Bowman co-chaired the search committee to recommensd a new president to the executive committee of the ASC board. Provanchetr will assume his new responsibilitiesJuly 13.
The ASC was founded 50 yearxs ago to raise moneyfor Charlotte-area culturapl organizations and to coordinate fund-raising campaignes in an annual drive.
